The good news is that it’s actually fairly simple to remove a trailer hitch lock, as long as you have the right tools.

    Steps to Unlock A Trailer Hitch Lock

    If you’re wondering how to remove a trailer hitch lock, follow these steps:

    1. Start by locate the keyhole. This is usually located on the bottom of the lock, near the base.

    2. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise until you feel it click into place.

    3. Apply pressure to the top of the lock with your thumb or finger. This will help release the locking mechanism inside.

    4. While continuing to apply pressure, turn the key counter-clockwise until you hear a clicking sound. This indicates that the lock has been released.

    5. Remove the key from the keyhole and pull on the body of the lock to release it from the trailer hitch.

      Thanks for the reminder that the usage of a drill can also be something to consider when it comes to dealing with travel trailer hitches. I’d like to know more about where to buy travel trailer hitch accessories because I want to go on more off-road trips as I grow older.
